It was the dawn of a new day and on this exceptionally beautifuff l morning, I
covertly slipped away frff om my faff mily as they feff ll asleep in our cosy chalet. I was
yearning to take some spectacular shots of the rising sun when a rainbow-
coloured candy store caught my eye. I threw caution to the wind as I bravely

entered the store, despite knowing that 'curiosity killed the cat'.

As I pushed open the door, I was amazed to see it was fiff lled with mountainnnsss
and mountains of candies. An old man, with hair like the colours of sssaaalllttt anddd
pepper, grinned frff om ear to ear, giving me a warm welcome. As III wwwas aaabbbooout to
pick some delectable candies, the door suddenly shut behiiinnnddd meee aaandd the store

went dim. I caught sight of a sinister look in the man'sss eeeyyyes ttthhhaaatt made me cringe in
             horror.

As feff ar crept in, my survival iinnssttiinncts kicked in as well. I bolted foff r the door.
but two muscular men cammee iinn ffrff om nowhere and barricaded me. They grabbed

my hands and tied thheemm up with some rope. I kicked and hollered at the top of my
lungs, but thheeyy quickly gagged me with a fiff lthy rag. Then, they carried me to a
room at tthhe back of the store and shoved me to the flff oor.

As I sat on the cold concrete flff oor, hot tears began rolling down my cheeks foff r

making this grave mistake. Determined to get back to safeff haven, I scanned
around the room to look foff r something that could help me escape. Fortunately, I
spotted a shard of broken glass. This was my ray of hope. I struggled towards it
and grabbed it with all my might. Painstakingly, I managed to frff ee myself. Pulling
out a hairpin, I tried to unlock the door and it worked! Filled with immense relief,ff

I ran away as faff st as I could, not daring to look back.

When I arrived back at the chalet, I saw my parents worked up in worry. Their
teary eyes made me realised that they were apprehensive beyond words. They had
been searching around foff r me all day. Aftff er this, I told myself that I would not

slip away like that ever again in the fuff ture as the saying goes, “once bitten twice
             shy”.
