Directors and Chair of the 105th Anniversary
                                                               Charity Sale. He fondly recalled the “Centenary
                                                               Charity Sale” held in 2019 and highlighted the
                                                               significance of this year’s event, marking the
                                                               “105th  Anniversary Charity Sale”. He noted
                                                               the substantial progress of the Co-Curriculum
                                                               Activities Centre, which is set to be completed
                                                               by the end of this year, representing the largest
                                                               construction project in the school’s history.
                                                               However, he pointed out that the project still
                                                               requires RM8 million in funding. To address this
                                                               shortfall, the school is hosting this charity sale
                                                               as part of its 105th anniversary celebrations to
                                                               help raise the necessary funds.


                                                                      Deputy Minister of Education Malaysia,
                                                               Yang  Berhormat  (YB) Wong Kah Woh,  also
                                                               spoke at the event, noting that while he has
                                                               attended many school charity sales and events,
                                                               this was the first time he had seen a school event
                                                               of such scale that it congested the entire road
                                                               leading to the school entrance. He encouraged
                                                               everyone to stay persistent in promoting
                                                               Chinese language education. He expressed
                                                               his hope that the country's economy, culture,
                                                               and education will thrive together  under a
                                                               diverse government, guiding Malaysia towards
                                                               a brighter future. Additionally, he announced
                                                               that the government would allocate RM20,000
                                                               to  support this CHKL School  Carnival and
                                                               concluded his speech by extending his heartfelt
                                                               thanks to all supporters, wishing the day’s event
                                                               a great success.


                                                                      After the speeches,  the audience
                                                               witnessed the sounding of the gongs by YB
                                                               Wong Kah Woh, Tan Sri Lim and CHKL Board
                                                               of  Directors,  which symbolised the official
                                                               opening of CHKL School Carnival 2024.  As
                                                               the last echoes of the gongs ended, the 24-
                                                               season drum performance started. Then,  our
                                                               cheerleading team and the Society for Creative
                                                               Mind and Body  took centre stage with their
                                                               vibrant performance entitled “Dazzling Youth
                                                               Dance.” The performance was  a dazzling
                                                               display of youthful  energy and exuberance.
                                                               Their dynamic routine not only showcased their
                                                               impressive talent but also propelled the event’s
                                                               atmosphere to a thrilling crescendo.
