What Life Experience Have I Had
That I Am Grateful For?

We humans once dwelled in caves, today we
have the most useful and sophisticated inventions
that connect us with people all over the globe. There
are so many things to be grateful for and I— I am
grateful for my life.
Last month, my parents planned a family trip for
our family to have a getaway from the busy life in the
city. We went hiking on a steep hill located in Rawang. I was very excited as it was my first time
going on a hiking trip. That day, I was the first to get up and get dressed. After having breakfast, I
put on my hiking boots and hiking accessories then got into the car filled with enthusiasm for the
trip.
After approximately an hour of driving, we reached our destination. When we reached
there, the weather was gloomy and it was drizzling making the ground muddy and slippery. We
met with a group of hikers who were in their 30s, they were going on the same route as us.
Having everything checked and set up, we began our hiking trip. “This is fun. It isn’t as steep as
they’ve said after all.” I thought to myself at the beginning of the hike. We then reached the
steepest part of the hill. I stood aghast by the slope that I was about to climb. I proceeded to
climb the slope without hesitation having the thought that it would be easy. My right foot
stepped on the rocks attached onto the surface of the slope, my right hand grabbed onto the
nearest rock I could reach. Similarly, my left hand and left foot did the same. Like a reptile, I
climbed up to the endpoint of the slope.
When I had only one more step to reach the top, my left foot slipped. It slipped because
the rock I was stepping on was covered with moss. The whole row of rocks was wet and slippery. I
did not get hold of anything and the gravitational force pulling me
