If there truly existed an almighty,
omnipotent magician who can grant
me anything beyond my wildest
imaginations, at the cost of my
remaining lifeff span, I would wish foff r
nothing but the giftff of flff ight.
The dream of flff ight is a noble one.
From the fiff rst signs of lifeff beneath
water, to the howling roars of machinery and industry, humanity has always
dreamt of soaring through the wide expansive sky and somme are even hooked on
such a dream. I am no diffff eff rent. To glide and soar through thhee air without a care
in the world, to be able to go anywhere my heart desires, to see the wonders of
nature, and to escape frff om all my worries and sorrows...how wonderfuff l and how
spectacular that frff eedom must feff el.
Ever since I was a child, I have always wondered how it must feff el to be a bird,
to be able to flff y through the open blue sky, not bound by any shackles. Going
upwards in the mesmerising night sky, a vast and dark fiff eld illuminated by
countless stars in that expansive pitch of darkness, I can ssurely hear loud
cacophonies of gawks made by those sleepless ravens. I hhaave always wondered
what it must feff el like to be able to roam frff eelyy iinn ttthhaatt darkness without feff ar, to
soak in the haunting moonlight, to observe thhhe luminous and expansive fiff eld of
stars so clearly – how foff rtunate those ravens must feff el to be able to bask in the
glory and beauty of our world so intimately. All these feff elings of mine have given
me a strong desire to conquer the sky, to soar through the azure sky and to
experience true frff eedom. To be able to flff y, that would be the greatest giftff to me.
