“What do you suggest we do to take action on this Darkstar, kill it?” a minister
questioned. “More like exploding it. At the energy level it's currently at, we can't
kill it at the moment. We need it to narrowly reach its maximum energy to
neutralise the threat, but we would have to externally provide an energy source to
disrupt the Darkstar’s frff equency and energy containment. Simply put, we have to
launch a missile frff om space on the day of destruction,” suggested the head
scientist.
Few days later, the entire world put the pedal to the metal to invent the missile
and come up with the procedures along with the plans foff r Doomsday. Astronauts
fr f f om around the world were recruited to foff rm an elite strike squad capppaaabbbllleee of
carrying out this mission with minimal errors. The days had slowwwlllyyy fffaff deeeddd aand
gone by, Doomsday was approaching.
“This is what all of you have been traininggg fffoooffff r,,, ttthhhe mission is to neutralise the
Darkstar by launching the missile ddiirreeccttllyy at its core. One mistake and the
apocalypse is upon us. Hit yyoouurr ttarget and come home in one piece,” the
Commannder briefeff d. Lesss tthhan 30 seconds befoff re the strike, the astronauts were in
fu f f ll preparation to iniitiate the attack.
“3…2…1…” The missile was launched with perfeff ct speed and projo ectile
precision. The world anxiously witnessed this historic moment with eyes fiff lled
with feff ar. For a moment, the world was illuminated, the lights were so bright that
they could blind a person. When the surroundings slowly dimmed down, the
people cheered, laughed and cried.
“Threat neutralised!”
This will go down in history as the day the world stood still and delivered
mankind's victory.
