downwards was getting stronger as I began to fall back. I panicked. “ What should I

do?! What should I do?!” That moment, I was exasperated and my mind was blank.

Nothing was in my head. Abruptly, a hand grabbed on to my arm pulling me up. It was

one of the hikers we came across this morning. When my feet got back on the

ground, I let out a sigh filled with relief.

I thanked the hiker who saved me from an accident which no one wanted to

happen. As a gesture of appreciation, we invited him for dinner that day. Although I

got some bruises but I could not imagine what would happen to me if the hiker did

not lend me a hand. I am grateful to him, he did not know me and it was my first time

meeting him too. Isn’t it fascinating how gratefulness happen between people who

do not even know each other? Maybe the man you met on the street just now could

help you in the future. I am grateful for my life. Giving me the chance to stand here

and be a mentally and physically healthy individual makes me feel blessed. To me,

               gratitude lives forever.

When I write down what I am grateful for, it is always for things money cannot

buy. Being grateful for what I am today, I thank my supportive family, dedicated

teachers and marvellous friends for always being there for me. Yet, never take things

for granted as they might be gone if you are not grateful. Helen Keller once said,

Life is either a daring adventure

                                                          or nothing at all.
