Entrance Examination and Merit Awards 2022

Application Requirement

Applicants for our Entrance Exams sit two exam papers which last an hour and a half each. Depending on the marks you achieve in both papers, you could receive up to £2,000 a year and a guaranteed place to study at Aberystwyth University. Although Nursing applicants are welcome to sit the exams, please note that the unconditional offer does NOT apply to our Nursing courses.

International Accommodation Award

Application Requirement

We are delighted to provide our international students* with the International Accommodation Award, meaning the cost of your housing is included in your tuition fees.

The University has several different accommodation buildings. This scholarship is different depending on which building you choose but is either totally free or discounted by £2,000.

Music Scholarship

Application Requirement

Music Scholarships (4 available annually) are intended for experienced musicians who can actively contribute to the University’s orchestras, bands, choirs and other ensembles. They are awarded on the basis of competitive audition to new entrants in any discipline (undergraduate or postgraduate) and held for the duration of the course.

The benefits:

  • Free membership of all musical and affiliated ensembles (including orchestras, bands, etc.)
  • Free use of practice, library and other appropriate facilities
  • Guaranteed accommodation in a University managed property for the duration of the course
